The activity will include:

  • Two outreach presentations on research topics in Earth sciences (45–50 min)

  • Visit to the exhibition (20–30 min)

About the exhibition

‘GEAS, Women Who Study the Earth’ is based on the book of the same name published by IGME-CSIC (with Ana Ruiz Constán and Rosa María Mateos as authors) and presents, through texts and original illustrations by Nívola Uyá, the careers of women who have made decisive contributions to the knowledge of geology, paleontology, oceanography, and other disciplines related to Earth Sciences. The exhibition combines scientific outreach and artistic creation, generating a space for dialogue between science, history, and contemporary role models.

Organized by the CSIC Delegation in the Balearic Islands and the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain (IGME-CSIC), in collaboration with the Estudi General Lul·lià.
