Climate change and its impact on island forests, with Joan Santana, Head of the Forest Management and Soil Protection Service of the Department of Natural Environment: a talk to understand how rising temperatures, droughts and extreme events are transforming the forests of the Balearic Islands, and how forest management, the condition of the primary sector and forest use (clearing, vegetation fuel management and forest uses) can be key to reducing wildfire risk and protecting biodiversity in a particularly fragile island context.
