Experimentation and Participation in Architecture: The Case of Paris

This lecture analyzes how participatory processes have transformed architectural practice in the French capital. Drawing on her experience, she will explore urban initiatives and collective projects that involve citizens in the creation of public spaces and urban developments. She will show how this collaboration has generated new forms of social and spatial experimentation.

 

About Inés Winckler

She is co-founder of Atelier +1 (A+1) together with Octave Giaume and César Bazin. She is a licensed architect (HMONP) specialized in interior design and project supervision. She is also a professor at the American University of Paris, and has studied at ESAG Penninghen, ENSA Paris-Belleville, and KTH Stockholm. Her practice emphasizes participation, pedagogy, material reuse, and the relationship between architects, residents, and the territory.
