Educational Day for Secondary Schools | GEAS in Palma

What does the activity consist of? - The event will combine:

A visit to the exhibition.

A dialogue with researchers and technical staff from CSIC in the Balearic Islands (IGME-CSIC, COB, IEO-CSIC; IMEDEA, CSIC-UIB; IFISC, CSIC-UIB).

The format will be conversational and participatory, adapted to a young audience, encouraging questions, exchange, and reflection.

Educational objectives

To highlight women scientists conducting research in the Balearic Islands.

To showcase real and relatable role models in the scientific field.

To encourage interest in STEM careers, especially among female students.

To connect history, current science, and future career paths.

How to register?

⇒ Participation requires mandatory prior registration through Eventbrite.

Each teacher must reserve the required number of places for their group(s) directly on the platform. Places must be reserved according to the total number of attendees (students + accompanying teachers). For example, if a group consists of 28 students and 2 teachers, 30 places must be reserved. The same teacher may make several reservations if registering more than one group.

During the registration process, the following information will be requested:

  • Name of the educational institution
  • Grade level of the group
  • Name and email address of the responsible teacher

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until the venue capacity (160 people) is reached.
