Urban Gardens and Community Action

Urban gardens are cultivation spaces located within cities that allow residents to grow vegetables, plants, and flowers close to their homes. This practice promotes sustainability, self-sufficiency, and social cohesion within the community.
About Manel Font
Holds a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, General Branch (1997). Member and head of the Waste and Environmental Education area of the NGO Amics de la Terra Mallorca, where he led campaigns promoting decentralized composting and urban gardens (1998–2006). Founder and trainer at Permacultura Barcelona. Promoter of household and community urban gardening techniques through campaigns for the Barcelona City Council. Certified by the Vida Sana association as an expert in urban gardens.
